its funny how life feels a little aimless after a jam pack project. it kind of feels a little weird to not worry about something. Its been one crazy weekend, feels like i’m back in musical practice or back in school again on final project week.
so i’ve been quite secrective about my sudden leave to Los Angeles cause i wasn’t sure what i was suppose to say and what i’m not suppose to. But i’m sure you’ll find out soon enough so i wont give away everything just yet. maybe just you guys a brief lowdown.
Well, the main purpose of my trip was to be a part of the first ever IdeaJam. which is a digital content creation event that inspires creative people to dream bigger. the whole event is moderated by Ashton Kutcher & Jason Goldberg and sponsered by Intel.

The whole thing takes place at Katalyst Film’s Headquarters over the weekend in Hollywood. So the idea is to get a “specially selected list” of approximately 50 creative individuals who are “social media influencers and/or mavericks in the field of digital filmmaking” to pitch creative ideas.

so blah blah blah bleh bleh bleh, if you want more info on it. you can google about it.
It was really exciting, totally nerve wrecking and something i’ve NEVER experienced before. I’ve never pitched an idea in my life and it was just really freaky to sit in a room with loads of amazingly talented writers, directors and producers with crazy amount of inputs. Some came prepared while i was completely oblivious on what was gonna happen.

But it was kind of strange to have camera crews EVERYWHERE documenting everything. Felt a little like we were all in a reality tv show. Some bits of the experience was also live up on ustream… like when Wally Pfister (the cinematographer for Inception) came to give a talk. Well YouTube was a partner in the whole event and it seems like they will be featuring this on YouTube at a later date. So keep your eyes peeled for that.
I have to warn you guys tho… there was ALOT of drama going on around me. So i apologize before hand if i lost my cool.

Anywho, i met some of the most amazing creative talents from hollywood as well as other parts of the world. its truly been a really exciting and challenging weekend.

i’m really hopeful for more things to come with the connections i’ve made and fellowship with the friendships i’ve made. Thank you so much to the people back home who have been cheering me on and supporting me all the way. <3
