Day one of Ignite! Music Festival is over and i’m left today in a pretty contemplative mood.

played two new songs yesterday and was pretty nervous about that. particularly since the new direction i’m heading musically is very different from the happy ccappy chirpy electronica stuff. i’ve just been dying to steer away from that “sensitive songwriter” vibe for a while.
i mean it was something i was embracing in 2009, cause
(1) i was experimenting as a songwriter
(2) i guess i was still discovering who i am as a human being and who i was as an artist
(3) i fell in love with DIY recording & gear
(4) it was a genre that was refreshing to dabble in then; something new from Allura (http://www.myspace.com/allurarock)
but i think i’m done with all that soul searching. Besides i found myself in Christ a while back so… i’m think i’m ready to move on to heavier things.
i don’t want to just blindly make music because i love it. i want to make music thats meaningful, relavent, forward thinking & of course, aesthetically pleasing. Probably going to start demo recording soon, while i write more.
