On Friday evening i was performing at the Pay it Forward Charity Concert with Don Richmond, Sylvia Ratonel, Mark Bonafide, the lovely Vanessa Fernandez, Charles Chan, Jack & Rai, Sixx, Dhuaza Batucada, Sleeq & DJ Nad. Hosted by Rozz, the event was super fun to do.

The event was in support of Club Rainbow, a charity organization that serves more than 500 families of children with chronic & potentially life-threatening illnesses.

I first heard about this event when i one day got a call from Sylvia to ask if i was open to playing for the charity event. With just a quick check of my calendar, i immediately said yes & was super excited about being apart of it. Besides the fact that i earnestly do want to help Club Rainbow rally for donations, i was also most moved by Sylvia’s efforts.

It really did caught me off guard to know that she was independently organizing the event. From the performance to logistics, she gathered a team & planned out everything. She is someone supremely genuine, honest & full of warmth. Everytime we bump into each other prior to the event, she would profusely thank me for agreeing to play when i haven’t even done anything. To top it all off, when i express to her how blown away i was that she was handling the entire event independently, she humbly replied she had a team of friends who should get the credit.

she’s absolutely gorgeous, down-to-earth & such a talented singer as well. Sylvia babe, I ADORE YOU TO BITS. Don’t stop doing what you do & don’t ever stop being you. <3
