Singapore, you’ve broken my heart.

Try asking the people you know at your workplace, school, community or church if they listen to local music. You’d probably realize, there aren’t many who care.

The usual debate that goes on, motions that there isn’t enough support from the government with the lack of funding and what not. But as of yesterday, i say, they’ve done their part this time.

They’ve pumped in the money, erected a huge-ass stage, set up a line up with 90% local bands and publicized it on the papers. Not to mention it was a FREE event. And, this was the result.

Singapore, you don’t care right now. But one day you will. Not only will you care, you’d be wishing you were one of the first few who really did, you’d be wishing you were part of building it.

Singapore, i have so much hope and faith in your music… its definitely worth fighting for. You may have broken my heart Singapore, but you haven’t broken me.
